The decision was announced on September 24, 2011. At a festive ceremony, NORRES Schlauchtechnik was presented with a coveted Finalist Award as one of Germany’s most successful companies in the 17th nationwide “Grand Prix of Medium-Sized Enterprises” competition.
NORRES is one of only twenty German firms to receive this prestigious award from the Oscar Patzelt Foundation. In the hard-fought second round, the Gelsenkirchen hose specialist beat more than 200 other favourites for the Grand Prix prize. Those taking part were required to convince the jury in three different categories. NORRES can look back on award-worthy overall development in a fiercely contested market, regularly creates and protects both permanent jobs and training places and records exemplary achievements in each of the relevant categories, namely “Innovation and modernisation”, “Commitment to the local region” and “Service, customer proximity and marketing”. The company thus makes an active contribution towards strengthening Germany’s SME landscape.
“I am delighted and honoured to have won a Finalist Award in the ‘SME Grand Prix’, as one of Germany's top business awards. I look forward to accepting it in person next week when I return to Gelsenkirchen”, said NORRES Managing Director Burkhard Mollen on learning of the accolade conferred on his company during a trip to Asia.
